Itinerary
Day 01 :
Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
- Arrival at Kigali International Airport or pick-up from hotel.
- Meet & greet by your guide.
- City tour of Kigali including Kigali Genocide Memorial and local craft markets (optional).
- Scenic 2.5-hour drive north to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.
- Check-in at lodge near the park.
- Evening at leisure with stunning views of the Virunga volcanoes.
- Dinner & overnight in Musanze (near Volcanoes NP).
Day 02 :
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
- Early breakfast and transfer to park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing.
- Assigned to a gorilla family and trekking group.
- Begin the life-changing gorilla trekking experience – trek through dense bamboo forest to find your gorilla group.
- Spend 1 hour with the gorillas observing them in their natural habitat.
- Trek back and return to lodge for lunch.
- Afternoon at leisure or optional visit to:
- Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village
- Twin Lakes (Burera & Ruhondo)
- Dinner & overnight at your lodge.
Day 03 :
Volcanoes to Kigali – Departure
- Breakfast and check-out.
- Optional morning activity (golden monkey tracking or cultural tour) if flight time allows.
- Return to Kigali with scenic stops along the way.
- Drop-off at Kigali International Airport or hotel.
- End of safari.
