Itinerary
Day 01 :
Arrival in Nairobi – Welcome to Kenya
- Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you'll be met by a representative from Ideal Africa Smartours.
- Transfer to your Nairobi hotel for check-in and briefing on your safari adventure.
- Optional: Afternoon visit to the Giraffe Centre or Karen Blixen Museum (if time permits).
- Overnight: Luxury Nairobi Hotel (e.g., Tamarind Tree Hotel / Hemingways Nairobi)
- Meals: Bed & Breakfast
Day 02 :
Nairobi ✈️ Meru National Park – Untamed Wilderness
- Early morning transfer to Wilson Airport for your scenic flight to Meru National Park.
- Upon landing, your guide will transfer you to the lodge with a game drive en route.
- Afternoon game drive in this unspoiled park known for rhinos, elephants, and rare northern species like Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe.
- Overnight: Luxury Safari Lodge in Meru (e.g., Elsa’s Kopje by Elewana)
- Meals: Full Board
Day 03 :
Meru ✈️ Masai Mara – The Safari Jewel
- After breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive or bush walk before your transfer to the airstrip.
- Board your flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s premier game park.
- Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive as you head to your lodge/camp.
- Afternoon game drive in the Mara plains, home to the Big Five and seasonal Great Migration.
- Overnight: Luxury Safari Camp (e.g., Mara Ngenche, Sand River Mara, or Governors’ Camp)
- Meals: Full Board
Day 04 :
Masai Mara – Full Day Game Viewing
- Full day to explore the vast savannahs of the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives.
- Optional activities: Hot air balloon safari, cultural visit to a Maasai village (extra cost).
- Watch lions, leopards, elephants, and herds of wildebeest in action.
- Picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp for lunch and relaxation.
- Overnight: Same as Day 3
- Meals: Full Board
Day 05 :
Masai Mara ✈️ Nairobi – Departure
- Enjoy a final sunrise game drive followed by breakfast at your camp.
- Transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport.
- Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to JKIA for your international flight or to your hotel for onward arrangements.
