Hells gate National Park is one of the smallest Parks in Kenya,It’s the only park in Kenya where one can walkand cycle through the park. Its known for abundance wildlife like African cape buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elands, hartebeests, Thompson’s gazelles amongst others.
The Park is also historically known to be home to the rare lammergeier vultures.
Itinerary
7:00 AM – Pick-up from your hotel after breakfast.
Begin your journey to Hell’s Gate National Park (Approx. 3 hours), with a brief scenic stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint.
10:00 AM – Arrive at Hell’s Gate.
Enjoy a bike ride inside the park (Approx. 2 hours). Alternatively, you may opt for a guided drive through the park if preferred.
Visit to the gorges is possible if permitted by park management depending on weather and safety conditions.
1:00 PM – Drive to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge for lunch.
2:30 PM (Approx.) – After lunch, proceed to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride. Keep an eye out for hippos and large flocks of water birds.
This tour also includes a visit to Crescent Island, known for its walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.
Note: It works out well to combine the boat ride and Crescent Island in the same afternoon. However, if weather or traffic delays occur, the visit to Crescent Island can be shifted to the following morning.
Evening – Return drive to Nairobi. Drop-off at your hotel late in the evening.
