Itinerary
Day 01 :
Arrival in Nairobi – Welcome to Kenya
- Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) where you will be met by an Ideal Africa Smartours representative.
- Private transfer to your Nairobi hotel for check-in and safari briefing.
- Optional excursions (time-permitting): Giraffe Centre, David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, or Karen Blixen Museum.
- Overnight: Luxury Hotel in Nairobi (e.g., Hemingways Nairobi, Giraffe Manor, or Karen Gables)
- Meals: Bed & Breakfast
Day 02 :
Nairobi ✈️ Lewa Wildlife Conservancy – Into the Northern Wild
- Morning transfer to Wilson Airport for your scenic flight to the Lewa Conservancy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and leading model of community-based conservation.
- Game drive en route to your lodge with chances to see rhinos, Grevy’s zebra, and the elusive leopard.
- Afternoon game drive or sundowner experience.
- Overnight: Luxury Lodge in Lewa (e.g., Lewa Safari Camp, Kifaru House)
- Meals: Full Board
Day 03 :
Lewa Conservancy – Rhinos, Scenic Views & Culture
- Morning and afternoon game drives across Lewa’s acacia-dotted plains and rolling hills.
- Optional activities: Bush walks, horseback safaris, or visit to the Lewa conservation headquarters.
- Relax in the afternoon with breathtaking views of Mount Kenya in the distance.
- Overnight: Same as Day 2
- Meals: Full Board
Day 04 :
Lewa – Last Moments in the North
- Enjoy a relaxed morning with a final game drive or optional cultural visit to a local community project.
- Afternoon at leisure or light activities around the lodge.
- Prepare for your next leg into the Masai Mara the following day.
- Overnight: Same as Day 2
- Meals: Full Board
Day 05 :
Lewa ✈️ Masai Mara – Into the Heart of the Wild
- After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Masai Mara National Reserve—Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destination.
- Game drive en route to your luxury camp, followed by lunch and afternoon safari.
- Spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, and—seasonally—the Great Migration.
- Overnight: Luxury Safari Camp (e.g., Angama Mara, Sand River Mara, Mara Ngenche)
- Meals: Full Board
Day 06 :
Masai Mara – Safari Royalty
- Full day in the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives.
- Optional experiences: Hot air balloon safari, breakfast in the bush, or Maasai village visit (extra cost).
- Return to camp for sundowners and a fire-lit dinner under the stars.
- Overnight: Same as Day 5
- Meals: Full Board
Day 07 :
Masai Mara ✈️ Nairobi – Departure
- Early morning game drive (optional), followed by breakfast.
- Transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport.
- Met upon arrival and transferred to JKIA for your outbound flight or optional hotel/lunch (available on request).
